Requirement 6 asks you to apply your gaming knowledge through leadership, event analysis, or live community participation. You must complete exactly ONE of the following options.
Option Summaries
- Req 6a — Teaching Digital Citizenship: Prepare and present a lesson on online gaming safety or digital citizenship to your patrol, troop, or family members.
- Req 6b — Streamed Esports Event Analysis: Watch a live-streamed collegiate, professional, or school esports broadcast online and take structured notes on production, shoutcasting, and player communication.
- Req 6c — Live Tournament Experience: Attend an in-person esports tournament, convention, or gaming competition with another Scout or family member and observe the venue atmosphere.

- Req 6a (Teaching & Service): Best if you enjoy public speaking, teaching younger Scouts, and putting Scout leadership directly into practice. What you’ll gain: Public speaking confidence and teaching experience.
- Req 6b (Online Broadcast Analysis): Best if you enjoy broadcast media, shoutcasting, game analysis, and watching live tournament streams online from home. What you’ll gain: Insight into esports production, commentary, and digital spectatorship.
- Req 6c (Live Event Participation): Best if you can attend a local LAN tournament, gaming convention, or high school/college esports event in person. What you’ll gain: Firsthand understanding of live arena energy, stage presentation, and community atmosphere.
