A screen can show you the gameplay, but it can’t show you what it feels like to stand in a crowd that erupts the instant a match-winning play happens. This option asks you to experience that atmosphere directly, alongside someone else.
Where to Look for Events
Options exist at every scale
- Local game stores and community centers often host smaller tournaments or LAN events for popular titles.
- School or college esports programs sometimes hold open matches or showcase events.
- Gaming conventions in your region may include competitive stages or demo tournaments alongside exhibits.
- Larger regional or national tournaments, if one happens to be within reach, offer the full professional-event experience.
After the event, think about how the experience compares to playing the same game alone at home. Did the pressure of an audience change how you’d expect a player to perform? Did watching people compete in person shift how you think about your own relationship to competitive gaming?

There’s no official resource link for this option. Bring a short account of the event — what you saw, who you attended with, and how the live atmosphere compared to watching or playing on a screen — to share with your counselor.
